Advice on Selling Your Place More Quickly

If you’ve had a family member who has died at your place of residence, or you’re getting a job transfer or moving in with your fiancée, you’ll no doubt want to sell your place in a hurry.  Don’t just put an ad in the real estate section and hope for the best; realize that getting rid off your home fast may require more legwork.

To start, make sure that your place is clean and devoid of “you”.  It’s not going to impress potential buyers if they trip over something or they see little Bobby’s artwork hanging on the fridge.  Feel free to add touches such as flowers (so long as their fresh), but don’t incorporate extras to an excess.

Be sure to hire a creditable agent, if that’s your route.  They need to have knowledge of your community, not just how much commission they’ll be making.  This person can also help you some up with a price that is right, another very important means to selling your residence swiftly.

If worse comes to worse and you can’t find a buyer by your deadline, consider renting your place out in the meantime.  This will provide you with income, permission to move forward, and equip you with more time to sell your home in the future.
